Jane Packer has designed the perfect white wedding bouquet. Planners can consider how a bride can make a glamorous entrance holding this stunning statement rosebud posy.

Every bride wants to sparkle on their wedding day. The organiser of the wedding ceremony can not overlook the quality of the bridal bouquet. A Jane Packer design for a glittering white rose posy will add glamour to the occasion, especially a winter wedding.

Arranging Flowers for a Bridal Bouquet

Wedding guests will notice immediately the bouquet on the bride’s entrance to the ceremony. Weddings demand an organiser’s attention to the detail of the quality of the flowers, the arrangement design and the centrepiece of the bridal bouquet. Professional florists should be involved in the flower design well in advance of the wedding.

Jane Packer’s floral design and artistry was at the heart of the British royal wedding of Prince Andrew to Sarah Ferguson in 1986. A wedding planner is invited to consider the design for the perfect bride’s posy for a winter wedding by the well-established inernational florist featured in World Flowers: Inspiring Floral Creations From Around the World by Jane Packer (Conran Octopus Ltd 2003).

A Perfect Bride’s Posy By Jane Packer

In Jane Packer’s World Flowers: Inspiring Floral Creations From Around the World, a spiralled dome of over a dozen white roses, tightly in bud is featured as a perfect bride’s posy for a winter wedding. Roses bring floral scent to a wedding. In perfumery, the aroma of rose is considered to have middle notes which means that the smell is the same close up as from a short distance away. Rose arrangements at a wedding offer a consistent and recognisable floral scent to all guests.

Jane Packer – who has been commissioned by famous figures in film, fashion and business – describes producing the flower mass of the bride’s posy as “You need to hold the first rose upright and wrap string around the binding point. Add the second stem at a slight angle and bind that in position. Rotate the bunch in your hand as you continue to add more stems”.

Pure glamour of the whiteness of the higher rose buds in the spiralled mass are highlighted with accents of iridescent glitter and square-cut diamante stones. Dusting of iridescent acrylic glitter is fixed by glue brushed onto some of the rose buds and wires can hold the diamante stones against the flower stem binding. The bridal bouquet is finished with the binding point of the spiralled stems being hidden by a covering of white satin broad ribbon tied into a double bow.

The wedding planner or organiser should consult a professional florist well in advance of the event or consider producing the perfect bridal bouquet with inspiration from this featured design by Jane Packer.

Further expert information on roses can gained from visiting annual flower shows including the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in London where Jane Packer is exhibiting this week and The Canadian Rose Society.
